Drink New York Apples, Support New York Farmers: Nine Pin Cider Works

Nine Pin photosNew York’s first farm cidery, Nine Pin Ciderworks uses 100% New York-grown apples and fruit in their beverages. They’re committed to supporting New York State farmers, and their daily operations and business decisions go to show it. When farmer Jake Samascott offered his juice-grade apples to Nine Pin at a price that would mean a loss for his orchard (as is standard practice for such apples), they countered with a higher price. They don’t want their farmers to just survive—they want to help them grow and thrive.

Honest Weight loves Nine Pin for their local mission, their friendly, hard-working team, and their tasty off-dry ciders in an ever-growing list of incredible flavors. Every new blend and co-fermentation has us buzzing, with some recent favorites including their new Cucumber Lime Light Cider—an easy sipper at 4.3% ABV—and Peach Tea, a seasonal standby made with a locally-crafted tea blend. But don’t overlook the classic Signature or Ginger varieties, two of their “core” ciders that are always in season.
