As much as possible, our food is made fresh from scratch while always using only natural ingredients, following our strict buying policies, which you can read about in our Food & Product Manual. We always offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free alternatives. Our chefs use organic ingredients whenever feasible, and have partnered with local farms to provide us with our most-used fruits and vegetables throughout the growing season.

Fresh, made-from-scratch composed salads, quesadillas, sandwiches, bowls, quiches, and so much more. Enjoy co-op classics like our Awesome Chicken Salad, Gochujang Tofu, Massaged Kale Ceasar, and a seasonally rotating selection of our chefs creations. Grab something tasty to enjoy in our cafe or on our garden patio, or take it to go for an easy lunch or dinner!

September 4 - September 17: PERSIAN 
(Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan)
September 18 - October 1: SOUTHERN, SOUL FOOD & BARBECUE

· Principal flavors/ingredients include smoke, mustard, molasses, cider vinegar, bourbon, sweet corn, braising greens, pickles

 October 2 - October 15: ARMENIAN

· Principal flavors/ingredients include olives, beans & lentils, yogurt & fresh cheese, stone fruits, pomegranate, nightshade vegetables (eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers)  

 October 16 - October 29: ITALIAN

· Principal flavors/ingredients include pasta, tomatoes, basil & oregano, olive oil, wine, Parmesan cheese, bitter greens, garlic

 October 30 - November 12: NORTHERN INDIAN, PAKISTANI & BANGLADESHI

· Principal flavors/ingredients include butter/ghee, yogurt, spices (especially garam masala), basmati rice, nuts, dried fruits, fenugreek

 November 13 - November 26: GERMAN

· Principal flavors/ingredients include cabbage & sauerkraut, pickling/curing spices, fruity wines, mustard, onions, vinegar, sausages & smoked meats

 November 27 - December 10: PAN-AFRICAN

· Principal flavors/ingredients include chiles, millet, black-eyed peas, smoked/salted fish, okra, yams & cassava, peanuts

 December 11 - December 24: CHINESE

· Principal flavors/ingredients include tamari, ginger, scallions, sesame, Sichuan pepper, rice wine/vinegar

 December 25 - January 7: WINE COUNTRY & THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST 

· Principal flavors/ingredients include grapes & wines, apples, berries, stone fruits, potatoes, wild mushrooms, winter squash, almonds

 January 8 - January 21: SOUTHERN INDIAN, SRI LANKAN & MALDIVIAN

· Principal flavors/ingredients include coconut, curry leaves, spices (especially mustard, cumin and fenugreek), chiles, dal, tamarind, dried mango & gooseberry

The Kitchen at Honest Weight follows these guidelines, detailed in our Food and Product Manual.

  • An organic bread choice is always offered for sandwiches, in addition to existing offering.
  • Preference is given to available local, regional, seasonal, organic ingredients, whole grains, and whole grain products.
  • The following offerings are provided on a daily basis. Everything is labeled with all ingredients. Should you have food sensitivities, please confirm ingredients with department staff:
    • Fully Organic
    • Items without Gluten ingredients (not made in a Gluten-Free facility)
    • Dairy-Free
    • Vegan
    • Raw Food and Juice
    • Combinations of the above will be available on a rotating basis
    • Soups with diverse ingredients to provide choices for nightshade, allium, or other food intolerances
    • Baked Goods made without sugar
  • The legally defined allergens; milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat, soy, peanuts, sesame and tree nuts are prominently labeled on each offering as required by applicable laws and regulations.
    • Although not legally defined, products made without gluten ingredients are prominently labeled.
  • If a processed product is used in a recipe, all of its ingredients are listed on the label. The same applies to any product that is sourced from an out-of-house supplier.
  • Efforts are made to use environmentally friendly product packaging that is currently known to be the least toxic, most biodegradable and/or recyclable, as appropriate for the application.
